Milo has been a Brevard County resident since 2003 after first coming to the area in 1993 to finish his undergraduate degree in Aviation Management at Florida Institute of Technology. Living on the Space Coast was almost a foregone conclusion for the guy who went to space camp (twice!) as a teen.
Over the past twenty years, Milo has worked in several industries in roles ranging from self-employment to representing a Fortune 200 company. He is currently the Senior Director of Finance and Administration for the Brevard County Property Appraiser’s Office, a role he’s held since 2013. He is a Certified Financial Planner Professional, Certified Government Finance Officer, and a FAA-licensed Commercial Pilot and Aircraft Dispatcher.
Currently, Milo is the Treasurer of the Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority, director for both the Brevard Cultural Alliance and Space Coast Field of Dreams, a special needs sports facility that recently opened in West Melbourne, and immediate past chairman and director for LEAD Brevard. In the last couple years, Milo also participated in Serene Harbor’s Walk A Mile In Her Shoes, sporting size 13 red high heels on a mile-long walk/fundraiser, and as a dancer in Dancing for the Space Coast, where he pulled off a passable cha-cha. In his spare time, he recently completed a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida. Milo and his two teenage children live in Cocoa Beach.
I chose Barbra with some hesitation. She is an iconic woman, as an entertainer, businesswoman and philanthropist. Music fans have bought more than 145 million of her records worldwide, and she is one of a handful of entertainers who have been honored with an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award. It’s because she’s universally recognized that I’m able to parody her singing for a little fun.
